Hey all, welcome to my blog.
What a catchy opening line. I'm having a mental block, don't judge. We all have them.
So, if you've decided to take interest in my blog, allow me to explain a few things. Bear with me if you will.
First off, I'm a student. That's right, you've happened upon a student blog, and not just any random blog, oh no! This is a work blog! That's right, if you want to see my partying pictures, just go ahead and add me on Facebook.
I'm just starting my final year at UCLan (so, you wouldn't have seen many partying pictures anyway) studying animation. Possibly one of the most tedious degrees EVER! But, what would I know? It's the only degree I've done. I'm not about to judge someone else's degree when I know nothing about it... *cough*
In this little blog here, you're going to find I start out all vague and mysterious. That's not intentional. Basically, over the summer months I've been working on some ideas for this year; 3 short film ideas and 3 series ideas. And I'm not a huge fan of sharing, so I've been keeping everything under wraps.
So, it's about time I shared, isn't it?
As the months of this academic year go on, I'll be filling up this blog with research in to existing films and developments on my own film.
So, what I'll do is I'll tell you all of my 6 ideas in as much detail as I can, and then what I'll do then is choose one of each and work on them for the rest of the year. That doesn't mean the other ideas get abandoned completely! I have a habit of plucking elements from an idea that didn't quite make it and applying them to the stronger ideas.
Anyways, this blog isn't going to get too image heavy just yet! It's mostly going to be writing for the next two or three posts.
I should probably mention that I'll be working on my film with a co-worker! He's cool, amazing model maker with CG software! I'm not sure if he's set up a blog yet, but rest assured he will, and I will link it!
So, there you have it. A slight introduction, and a little statement of intent.
Keep checking back guys! I hope you like what you'll be seeing!
